摘要

With the support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China,a research group from the North China University of Science and Technology published a research report showing an ancient tetraploidization shared by Cucurbitaceae plants in Molecular Biology and Evolution,which has lured wide attention at home and abroad.The study demonstrated,from a deep scientific perspective,the common ancestor of Cucurbitaceae experienced a whole-genome duplication,which was overlooked in previous reports.
