摘要

As a part of Chinese culture,red culture plays an important role in politics,education,economy and culture of today's society.Because of the similarities and differences between Chinese culture and foreign culture,people's understanding and expression of things are different,and vocabulary in different languages also contains rich cultural connotations with different characteristics.In this paper,"red culture"was taken as an example,and the similarities and differences of its cultural meanings in English and Chinese were analyzed.This paper hopes that the instructor can make better use of cross-cultural factors in vocabulary teaching to help students familiarize themselves with and master all kinds of vocabulary with cultural characteristics.
