摘要

This article focuses on analyzing the excerpt from The Corrections written by Jonathan Franzen.The analysis shed light on the participating characters(Chip and his father,Alfred)by exploring the point of view of the author and on the peculiarities of their family relationship as well as the emotional change of Chip.
