摘要:
Dear Editor,
Stimulus-specific adaptation(SSA)is the process whereby a neuron responds more strongly to rare stimuli than to the same stimuli presented in a repetitive way. This phe-nomenon has been regarded as one of the mechanisms that give rise to novelty-or change-detection.SSA has been extensively investigated along the auditory pathway from the cochlear nucleus to the auditory cortex(AC)[1,2]and in other sensory systems[3].
