摘要

TRIPS TO CHINA NSR:How long have you been teaching undergraduate courses? Hopcroft:I started teaching in 1964,so I've been teaching for over 50 years.I enjoy teaching and research,and that is the reason I haven't retired yet.Cornell's retirement program is very good.I could have retired on full salary.But I wonder what I would have done if I had retired. I had very good teachers in the elementary school,high school and college.They really cared about my success.I saw the impact they were having on my life,and I wanted to have that kind of impact on others.
