摘要:
Flow cytometry has become a powerful cell analysis technique for modern clinical diagnosis and biological research.Even though great success has been achieved using flow cytometry, this tech-nique still suffers from some limitations, such as the use of specific immune biomarkers and fluorescent dyes.In contrast, the novel deformability cytometry achieves label-free identification of cells according to their different mechanical properties. The cell mechanical property is an inherent biophysical marker that indi-cates the cell physiological state or function associated with vari-ous diseases[1].Standard approaches for assessing cell deformability include atomic force microscopy, micropipette aspi-ration,microbead rheometry, and optical tweezers[2].However,these approaches have extremely low throughput(typically less than 1 cell/min),are technically demanding, and require labor-intensive operations.
