摘要

In 2016,Donald Trump achieved his goal of moving in White House.At his inaugural ceremony he analyzed the situation inside and outside America,and infused his political attitude into audiences’minds.He cheered America up by this success speech.In this article we will use Halliday’s systemic functional grammar to explore Trump’s inaugural speech.From the perspec tive of transitivity system and person system,we will analyze the material processes,relational processes and personal pronouns within the speech,and discuss the ideology things in accordance with background information.
