Love in the Time of Cholera is one of the most outstanding masterpieces of Marquez af?ter he won the Nobel Prize for literature. This novel plays an important role in Latin American literature and even in world litera?ture. This thesis will analyze the novel from the aspect of symbolism to explore how the symbolism in this work was used and the au?thor's writing intention by analyzing several representative symbols of love during the cholera period , such as"cholera""love".
