摘要

After studying Shakespeare's works,readers will find disguise usually plays an important role in Shakespeare's comedies.From a realistic point of view,cross-dressing reveals the difference between male and female in such a way that the temporary exchange of sex roles is a challenge to the strength of normality and the teleology of event.On the other hand,disguise offers a chance to women to subvert their social status.By disguising as men,women have been set free to do what men are always allowed to do in the patriarchal society.
