摘要

Probing throughinto the notions of eternity and freedom of life,Anderson found convergence between religion and literary art.His fairy tales have profound meaning and rich connotations from in terms of the its multiple allusions to the Bible.Exploring the relationship between literature and religion,this paper aims to understand the significance of biblical metaphors by analyzing the story of The Little Mermaid.
