摘要

This paper contributes to the debate about the Chinese and American address forms in order to help us to improve thecommunication between the two nations.It takes the comparison of the Characters of Chinese and American Address Forms as itsstarting point.It then analyzes the main factors(the influence from the culture’s power orientation and the philosophical factor)which make the great differences between Chinese and American address forms.It applies the communicative function of Chineseand American address forms as well.
