Departure On July 19,the five of us—a delegation to the United States to celebrate the 40 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and the US—flew from Houston to North Las Vegas,the American sister city of Weinan,Shaanxi province,our hometown.We had just attended the Fourth China-US Sister-City Conference.
