摘要

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (SGGK) is an Arthurian story and belongs to alliterative revival. It is also one of the most famous Romance poems in English, likely accomplished in the mid to late fourteenth century, existing nowadays. It has a sin-gular ending which is thought to be a transgression of Romance.
