摘要

The Mediterranean Sea has provided routes for trade and wars for numerous communities throughout the ages.Because of the communications across the sea,cultures and languages get spread.In most Mediterranean countries,people can speak at least two languages.This may be ascribed to the trade and wars among the countries.And with the recent industrial and economic development around this area,it is conceivable that language diversity will be even greater in the future.
