摘要

Jane Austen had been concerned about the problems of marriage, love and education faced by British women. With keen observation and meticulous description, Austen reproduced the educational situation of middle-class women in England in the 18th century. The image of the gentlewomen in Pride and Prejudice implied Jane Austen's deliberation on education and expressed her admiration for"proper manner".
