摘要

With the rapid development and wide application of the network, many universities conform to the development of the times and actively carry out online English teaching. Online teaching is an important choice for higher education in modern times. It takes the Internet as the transmission system and uses the characteristics and resources of the network to create a meaningful learning environment different from traditional teaching, which is beneficial to students'learning. After decades of development, it has become a good teaching mode in addition to the traditional classroom teaching model. However, because its development in China is still in its infancy, there are inevitably some shortcomings. This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of on?line English teaching and puts forward some improvement measures.
