摘要

Michael Cunningham's The Hours involves one day of three women of different times in different places. Studying on the characterization in it, it concludes women's dreary living condition and their consciousness is in a crisis. Along with their struggle against time-consuming life, they still are faced up with dilemma and troubles, they have to make choices and compromises in their life to a certain degree. Pressure and disillusion behind their comfortable and carefree life penetrate their life.
