As the greatest lyric poet of the 20th century,Yeats fully expresses his pursuit of eternal spiritual home in his poem“Sailing to Byzantium”.This paper analyzes the text and discusses how the poet strives to pursue his spiritual home,so as to deepen our readers’understanding of“eternity”theme in the poem.Seeking the Spiritual Home—Sailing to Byzantium.
