Yang Haijun,formerly the president of the Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute of PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Company,is currently the chief technologist of the Company.Upon graduation from university in 1992,he participated in the multisectoral cooperation campaign of Tarim Oilfield.During that period,by building the Tarim ultra-deep complicated oil and gas exploration and scientific research team,the average volume of the three classes(i.e.inferred,indicated,and measured reserves)of newly discovered oil and gas reserves equivalent of Tarim Oilfield in the past 14 years has exceeded 400 million tons per year,and the scale of production capacity has increased year by year.Behind these contributions are Yang Haijun's unremitting efforts and hard work.13 of Yang Haijun's research results have won him national,provincial or ministerial-level Scientific and Technology Progress Awards.He also won the May Fourth Medal for Chinese Youth,and was awarded the honorary titles of Top Ten Outstanding Youth of Xinjiang,Model Worker of CNPC and Outstanding CPC Member of CNPC,etc.
