The 1980s witness the emergence and development of the cultural turn in translation studies,which closely combined translation and culture from then on,and a new perspective-the cultural perspective for translation studies.The gender issue is an important part of cultural studies.Feminist translation theory states its viewpoints on the role of gender,and approves of translators'gender role in the translation of the original text.In a given social context,the writers and translators of literature are both gendered human beings.Therefore,on doubtfully they are influenced by the political,economical and cultural factors.These will more or less put an influence on the writing and the translating.This paper aims to have a systematic analysis on feminist translation theory and explore the relationship between feminism and literary translation.
