[Objective]The paper was to establish a method for rapid detection of chlamydia in sheep.[Method]A loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP)assay for chlamydia in sheep was established via template preparation and primer design, and its specificity was verified. The clinical suspicious materials collected from some goat farms in Guizhou Province were detected.[Result]The established LAMP assay had good specificity. As the clinical suspicious materials collected locally were detected by established LAMP assay, the infection rates of chlamydia in local goat herds were 2.50%-8.0%,and the average infection rate was 5.00%(10/200).[Conclusion]Chlamydia infection is common in goats in Guizhou Province, and the established LAMP assay of chlamydia is suitable for clinical rapid detection in veterinary.
