摘要

Edgar Allan Poe was an American poet, short fiction writer and critic. He was also a master of the horror tale, and the pa?tron saint of the detective story. Based on the perspective of Freud's"uncanny"theory,this paper analyzes the creation of the effect of terror and explores the theme of The Black Cat.
