摘要:
Many English teachers have given up their well-intentioned attempts to shift their classrooms frombeing teacher-dominated to being student-centred.In this paper,the common justifications forabandoning a learner-centred approach are presented and then,based on my observation of teachers’classes,the real reasons behind failure and abandonment are analysed.Following on from this analysis,some tips on how to shift successfully from a teacher-dominated to a learner-centred English classroomare provided.
