摘要

IntroductionDuring the last two decades there have been remarkable developments in English language teachingin China.With an ever-increasing emphasis being put on the communicative competence of thelearners,various methods and techniques have been tried to improve the students’ ability tocommunicate in English.This article looks at the value of using Western feature films to helpstudents develop this communicative competence.
