This paper focuses on the analysis of geographical locations which frequently appeared in The Zoo Story.By searching Albee’s background and information of Fifth Avenue and Upper East or West Side,this paper studied what location words implied and how these simple words helped to fulfill Albee’s expression.Also,this paper introduced how the cultural meaning of locations that changed as city developed effected people’s interpretation.Moreover,by comparing a location detail with Albee’s attitude toward Broadway,this paper conclude the importance of geography study on the interpretation of The Zoo Story.
